Abdallah Abdi is a skilled project manager with over 10 years of experience in Somalia. He has worked with MolFAR's strategic and technical teams, served as a Senior Democracy, Governance, and Stabilisation Advisor at USAID/TIS3, and was a Consortium Project Manager at Conciliation Jigjiga, Ethiopia. Abdi has also managed the smooth implementation of the 2018 Asmara peace agreement between the Ethiopian government and the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF).
He has also worked with a variety of international non-governmental organisations and governmental institutions in Ethiopia, Somalia, Jordan, and the UK, undertaking field assessments, writing proposals and budgets, and contributing input to Ethiopia's program strategy. As a research consultant, Abdi has worked with renowned research and think-tank organisations in Somalia and the Horn of Africa. He was a research assistant at Kingston University, performed literature reviews on refugee integration, and developed a framework for successful Syrian refugee integration into UK society. His research initiatives have likewise been diverse, including political, human rights, and educational topics.
Abdallah holds a PG Cert in Psychology from the Institute of Education, UCL, London, U.K., an MA in Ed Leadership & Management, and a Masters in Mass Communication from International Islamic University Malaysia.
