Dr. Abdullahi Abdiwahab Hasan holds a PhD in Information Security Management from University Technology PETRONAS, Malaysia, MSc Cyber Security Liverpool John Moors University, UK and a Master of Science in Information Science from International Islamic University Malaysia. He is a highly qualified Information Security specialist with extensive experience in education and industry sectors. He has published numerous academic papers, participated in digital inclusion programs, and provided ICT and Education consultations for local councils in the UK. His professional experience includes leading the National Cyber Security Authority of Somalia, developing national Cyber security risk management programs, promoting cyber security culture, managing the Somalia Computer Emergency Response Team, and assisting the ministry of communications and technology in implementing Governance, Risk, and Compliance measures to protect national critical infrastructures. Dr. Hasan has also worked as a Senior Lecturer at International Aviation Technical College, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he designed IT lessons and updated instructional materials, overseeing attendance, well-being, and academic support. He has also worked as a Lecturer, IT & Business Studies at University Technology PETRONAS Malaysia, teaching diploma and undergraduate students on various courses, and developing and improving ICT skills of new adult learners. Mohammed Abdi Mussa and Abdullahi Hasan have conducted several studies on the impact of strategic alignment on the use of IT for competitive advantage, and have received awards for their work.
