Manaal is a gender specialist with a strong background in gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response, gender mainstreaming, and protection programming. With a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in Gender Mainstreaming, Policy, and Analysis, Manaal has developed a solid foundation in understanding the complexities of gender inequality and its impact on vulnerable communities. Manaal's work experience includes coordinating projects with ministries and government agencies, designing interventions to eradicate GBV and create job opportunities for survivors, and training staff on gender mainstreaming strategies and safeguarding. Manaal has also researched about droughts and conflict effects on women and girls as well as on women, peace, and security, and has contributed to publications addressing GBV and climate change.
